The first DISCO VET project event in Lithuania was organized in the premises of Klaipėda university (LINK to the event). The dissemination event was part of a bigger event – a national Education Forum “2021–2022 Academic Year Actualities and Perspectives” that attracted to the dissemination event participants from higher education, VET and other sectors of professional development, municipal politicians, heads or representatives of associations, professional unions and other social partners, researchers, members of Lithuanian Parliament, Government and President’s office.
The dissemination event has risen awareness of the participants regarding the credentialization of open online learning, validation and certification processes of educational institutions. The results of the project research findings were presented regarding the digitally signed credentials in the new era. Discussions about the future of certification and accreditation revealed a need for more knowledge and skills about introduction of digitally signed credentials in the organizations as well as organizational readiness to do that.
